It all Started with a Cartridge…

Our story

It all started with a cartridge.

Formed from a passion for field-sports and the countryside and inspired by the beauty of nature. The brasses of shotgun cartridges always held a simplistic beauty in my eyes - it seemed such a waste for them to simply be discarded after use. This sparked an idea to recycle shotgun cartridges and make them into unique products.

Pairing a cartridge with wood that had been sustainably sourced from our pheasant shoot in Somerset was my first idea; leading to the creation of my first product - the shotgun cartridge coaster, proving to be one of my most popular items.

Seeing how much people loved the coasters inspired me to create this brand, and soon saw me producing a larger range of products using other ‘rustic’ materials including tweed and feathers, and this portfolio continues to grow today.

Coasters.

The shotgun cartridge coasters were the product that started it all, see below how they are created.

All the wood for our coasters is taken from trees that have fallen in the woodlands at our shoot in Somerset. Many beautiful and unique woods, including sycamore, birch, hazel and ash can be found. Once the wood is collected, it is cut into coasters and left to dry out. Then the wood is oiled using a high quality danish oil, sealing the wood and producing a beautiful finish.

The cartridges used in our coasters are collected at the end of shoot days and also collected from local clay shoots. The brass of the cartridge is removed and placed in the coaster, producing an elegant yet rustic design.

The finished product. All of our coasters are unique and display the natural beauty of the wood, bringing the outdoors into your home.

Upon request we can provide matching sets of coasters with a cartridge and wood of your choice.
